Lower back pain in early pregnancy can result from the added bio-mechanical stress that the baby’s weight adds to the body. As baby grows, the expectant mothers stomach is pushed forward, which in turn causes the whole back to assume a position it normally does not.
The upper back is thrown backward to try to compensate for the way the lower back is being pushed forward by the growing baby. The creates a muscle imbalance. Muscle imbalances are the true reason for back pain in most cases, even back pain that occurs outside of pregnancy.

Solutions For Lower Back Pain In Early Pregnancy

The solutions for lower back pain in early pregnancy that are employed by many doctors today are often based on outdated concepts or ideas that just don’t work.

Since a pregnant woman cannot take medications that might be harmful to the growing baby, doctors often simply tell patients to rest, take warm baths, and try to relax. While this might allow for temporary removal of back pain, it is never a long term solution for pregnant women.

There is, however, a solution for lower back pain in early pregnancy that can last for the entire pregnancy and well beyond: Curing the muscle imbalance that started the problem.

The way to cure an imbalance is to create balance, and this is surprisingly easy to do. The weakened muscles will be strengthened and the stronger ones will no longer have to over-compensate for the weaker ones. It will stop back pain not only during the nine months of the pregnancy but during the future years as well!
